Role Summary

Pulse Telesystems is looking for a Mid-Senior Level Software Architect to design and own the architecture of our MERN + PostgreSQL based products. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on expertise across the MERN stack, a solid architectural mindset, working knowledge of applying AI/ML for system and cost optimisation, and experience leading DevOps and engineering teams.

Key Skills

• MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js (MERN Stack) – expert level

• PostgreSQL – schema design, query optimisation, performance tuning

• System & solution architecture for large-scale, distributed applications

• AI/ML integration & optimisation (LLM APIs, prompt engineering, model/inference cost optimisation)

• Microservices architecture, REST & GraphQL API design

• Docker & Kubernetes fundamentals

• CI/CD pipeline design and DevOps team oversight

• Cloud platforms – AWS / Azure

• Code review, engineering best practices, and technical mentoring

• Application security, scalability and performance engineering

• Agile/Scrum delivery practices





• Git / version control workflows

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design and review scalable full-stack solutions built on the MERN stack with PostgreSQL as the primary data store

• Define and own the technical roadmap, architecture standards and technology choices for the product

• Drive AI optimisation initiatives — integrating AI/ML capabilities into products and optimising them for performance, accuracy and cost

• Lead, mentor and manage the DevOps and engineering teams, ensuring high-quality delivery

• Partner with Product and Project Management teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

• Conduct architecture and code reviews; enforce coding standards and engineering best practices

• Guide the design of CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the DevOps team

• Troubleshoot complex, production-level issues across the application stack

• Ensure application security, scalability and performance benchmarks are consistently met

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where relevant

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong expertise in MERN stack and PostgreSQL

• Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, production-grade systems

• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring or managing engineering/DevOps teams

• Working knowledge of AI/ML optimisation techniques is a strong advantage

• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills
