Company Description:

Benne is a fast-growing South Indian QSR chain currently operating 4 stores across Mumbai and Delhi, with an ambitious 3-year plan to scale to 18 stores. We are backed by institutional angel investors and in advanced stages of closing a Pre-Series A from a family office. We are building a category-defining brand in South Indian cuisine with a robust focus on product quality, unit economics, and operational excellence.

Role Description :

• Own the monthly close — consolidated P&L;, store-wise performance dashboards, and working capital summary

• Prepare monthly MIS packs for the founders and Board with clear commentary on variances

• Drive quarterly and annual financial reviews with actionable insights on unit economics

• Manage the audit process (statutory, internal) and ensure timely completion

• Prepare and submit investor reporting as per SHA obligations

• Support the founders in due diligence processes, data room management, and financial Q&A; during fundraises

• Ensure all ROC, GST, TDS, PF, PT, FSSAI-related filings are current and compliant

• Maintain the cap table and be the internal point of contact for CCPS-related calculations and filings

• Manage day-to-day cash flow across all stores, handle vendor payment cycles, and ensure sufficient runway at all times

• Own banking relationships — manage working capital facilities, term loans, and negotiate terms with lenders

• Build and maintain a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast

• Evaluate and structure debt instruments as needed to support store expansion

• Lead the annual budgeting process across all stores and functions

• Own the 3-year financial model — update quarterly actuals, refresh projections, and stress-test assumptions

• Benchmark store-level performance against budget: food cost, labour cost,



occupancy, and EBITDA

• Identify cost optimisation opportunities and work with operations to implement them

• Manage and mentor the existing finance team (Senior Accountant + Junior Accountant)

• Build a hiring plan for the function aligned to the store expansion roadmap

• Own the accounting systems (Tally or equivalent) and identify ERP/tech upgrades as the business scales

• Establish SOPs for accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, and inventory accounting in a QSR context

Must Have:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years of post-qualification experience

• Hands-on experience in F&B;, QSR, retail, or consumer brands at a scaling company

• Strong understanding of unit economics in a multi-location business (food cost %, labour cost %, EBITDA per store)

• Experience managing statutory compliance, audits, and regulatory filings independently

• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels — you should be comfortable building an MIS pack and presenting it to a Board in the same week

• Prior experience in a PE/VC-backed company with institutional investor reporting obligations

• Exposure to CCPS structures, SHA compliance, and cap table management

• Experience with debt structuring — working capital facilities, term loans, NBFC relationships

• Familiarity with Zoho Books, Tally Prime, or ERP migration projects

• Prior experience building a finance team from scratch
