Position: Medical Representative

Role Overview:

We are looking for a driven and field-oriented Medical Representative (MR) to develop and grow our surgical business across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong relationships with surgeons, regular access to hospital OTs, and experience in medical devices, surgical products, pharma, or allied healthcare.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Feet on the street. Strong surgeon connects. Regular OT access. Curious to identify opportunities. Disciplined to follow through.

Key Responsibilities:

- Visit hospitals, nursing homes and surgical centres regularly within the assigned territory.
- Follow up consistently with surgeons and hospital stakeholders until opportunities progress to the appropriate sales stage.
- Develop relationships with General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Urologists and other relevant surgical specialists.
- Support product demonstrations, workshops, CMEs and surgeon-engagement activities.
- Build strong working relationships with OT staff, biomedical engineers, purchase teams and hospital administrators.
- Identify new surgeons, emerging hospitals and previously uncovered or dormant accounts.
- Map hospitals, surgeons, procedure volumes, installed equipment, competitor presence and potential opportunities.
- Capture customer interactions, leads and opportunities accurately in CRM / SFDC.
- Identify requirements for new equipment, replacement,



upgrades and upcoming hospital or OT projects.
- Work closely with Territory Managers, channel partners and the ALAN team for prospect conversion.
- Generate qualified leads and coordinate demonstrations with the sales and clinical application teams.
- Gather competitive intelligence on installations, products, pricing, customer feedback and market activity.

Qualification & Skills:

- 2 – 5 years of field experience in Pharma, surgical disposables, surgical consumables, medical devices or allied healthcare products.
- Existing relationships with General Surgeons, Gynaecologists and/or Urologists.
- Regular access to hospital OTs is mandatory.
- Comfortable meeting surgeons, OT staff, biomedical engineers, purchase teams and hospital administrators.
- Strong knowledge of hospitals and surgeon networks in the assigned territory.
- Ability to open new accounts and establish relationships independently.
- Comfort with CRM/mobile reporting and disciplined follow-up

Preferred Background:

Surgical disposables & consumables, Sutures / staplers, Laparoscopy / energy products, Endoscopy / surgical instruments

OT consumables, Surgeon-focused pharma portfolio, Medical devices, Hospital sales

Educational Qualification:

Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering or any relevant discipline.

Experience, surgeon relationships and OT access will carry greater weight than educational specialisation.
