Job Title: General Accounting /Accounting - Senior Associate

Role Level: (Assistant Manager)

Experience: 6–8 Years

Education:

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full time education (10 + 2 + 3)

• Non-technical graduation and/or masters in finance & accounts stream -BCOM, MCOM, MBA in Finance, CA/ICWA or Engineering background with proven black belt or transformation expertise in Finance and Accounts processes.

Must Have Skills:

• Lean Six Sigma certified or formally trained (Green Belt preferred)

• Finance and Accounting domain experience

• Proven track record of leading and/or mentoring multiple Lean Six Sigma improvement projects

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Continuous Improvement / Lean & Six Sigma

• Stakeholders Coordination

• ERP Exposure

Role Summary The General Accounting / R2R Assistant Manager manages general accounting, journal processing, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and period-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while driving service performance, controls, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustment entries
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations
- Support intercompany accounting, matching, and settlement activities
- Support fixed asset accounting including additions, retirements, and depreciation
- Investigate and resolve reconciling and open items
- Support month-end,



quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails
- Review journals, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the team
- Perform root-cause analysis on recurring accounting exceptions
- Support flux/variance analysis and management reporting inputs
- Coordinate with AP, AR, Tax, and FP&A; on cross-functional close dependencies
- Manage end-to-end R2R operations and period-end close governance
- Monitor R2R KPIs including close cycle time, reconciliation quality, and aging
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and audit requirements
- Supervise a small team and manage day-to-day work allocation
- Track service levels and support performance reviews

Experience & Skills

- 6–8 years of experience in General Accounting / R2R or Finance Shared Services
- Understanding of general accounting, journals, and reconciliations
- Knowledge of month-end close and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS awareness)
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
- People management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience driving process improvement and standardization
