About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer with 7+ years of software development experience. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python, PostgreSQL, React, and AI/LLM development.

The candidate will build a new AI product from the beginning, work closely with the leadership team, and later guide a small team of developers. This is a hands-on role, so the candidate should be comfortable coding daily and handling production issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Build the AI agent backend using Python and FastAPI.
- Work with LLMs, including prompts, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, queries, indexes, and migrations.
- Build user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate the AI agent with internal APIs and third-party services.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to improve development speed and productivity.
- Guide and mentor 1–3 developers through code reviews, planning, and technical guidance.
- Make technical and architecture decisions and explain them clearly to product and leadership teams.
- Set up and maintain testing, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
- Monitor the production system and handle technical issues and incidents.
- Track AI performance, response quality, speed, and usage costs.
- Improve prompts and AI logic as models and requirements change.




- Follow secure coding practices and protect customer and personal data.
- Continue developing current features and improvements after the product goes live.

Required Skills

- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1–2+ years of experience building and supporting AI/LLM features in production.
- Strong experience with Python and backend API development.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database design, SQL, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Good experience with React and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt design, tool/function calling, retries, rate limits, and handling incorrect AI responses.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers while continuing to code hands-on.
- Experience supporting production applications, including monitoring, incident handling, and root-cause analysis.
- Good written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with RAG, embeddings, and pgvector.
- Experience with LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, or MCP.
- Experience with LLM testing, monitoring, and cost management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Docker, and CI/CD.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Experience in staffing, HR tech, payroll, or workforce management.
- Knowledge of SOC 2 or similar security and compliance standards.
