About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Game Designer (Remote) to join our client's dynamic team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about board games, strategic reasoning, and AI development. The primary responsibility of this role involves training and evaluating next-generation AI models through the creation and assessment of complex board game scenarios. You will leverage your expertise in game mechanics, probabilistic reasoning, and rule systems to develop high-quality datasets that enhance AI performance. The role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fields such as computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, or economics. A minimum of two years qualified or semi-professional experience in board game design, playtesting, or related strategy-focused environments is required. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of logic, probabilistic reasoning, game mechanics, and complex rule systems. Familiarity with game theory, behavioral economics, decision science, or formal logic is highly desirable. Excellent written communication skills are essential for documenting evaluation results, creating guidelines,



and collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

- Create and review game-based reasoning tasks designed to evaluate AI systems, ensuring they accurately reflect complex strategic scenarios.
- Analyze board-game scenarios, decision trees, and rule-based systems to develop comprehensive datasets for AI training and testing.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for correctness, consistency, and reasoning quality, providing detailed feedback and insights.
- Develop prompts, rubrics, and evaluation guidelines tailored to board-game and strategy-focused tasks to standardize assessments.
- Identify logical errors, rule violations, and flawed reasoning in AI outputs, contributing to the development of benchmark datasets and evaluation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine dataset quality and improve evaluation methodologies for AI models.
