ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative and execution focused Interior and Retail Experience Designer to lead spatial design, retail display design, architectural planning and site execution for upcoming flagship.

The role will involve managing projects from concept development and space planning through design detailing, material selection, vendor coordination and site execution while maintaining a consistent luxury brand experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Interior and Spatial Design

Plan and design commercial salon spaces ranging from approximately 2,000 to 4,500 sq. ft.

Develop space planning and zoning for reception, styling areas, shampoo stations, facial cabins, nail areas, VIP and bridal suites and other service zones.

Prepare 2D layouts, elevations, 3D views, renders, mood boards and design presentations.

Ensure designs balance functionality, customer movement, operational requirements and premium aesthetics.

Retail and Visual Merchandising

Design retail display units, wall fixtures, illuminated displays, counters and product shelving .

Integrate product displays seamlessly with the overall salon and retail design.

Create premium and visually engaging product presentation areas.

Materials and Design Standards

Develop standardized design elements, materials, finishes and colour palettes to maintain brand consistency.





Coordinate material samples, laminates, fabrics, lighting, fixtures and other interior finishes.

Select durable and commercially suitable materials while maintaining a premium look and feel.

Maintain design consistency across multiple locations and projects.

Project and Site Execution

Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, consultants, vendors and other project partners.

Conduct regular site visits and monitor execution against approved designs and timelines.

Coordinate installation, finishing, snagging and rectification work.

Identify and resolve design and execution related issues at project sites.

Monitor project progress, material requirements and execution quality.

Support projects within approved CAPEX budgets and timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design or a related field.

2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in interior design, retail design, hospitality, luxury commercial spaces or similar environments.

Strong portfolio demonstrating premium commercial and interior projects.

Good understanding of space planning, materials, lighting, detailing and customer experience.





Strong site coordination and project execution skills.

Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, consultants and execution teams.

Solid problem solving, communication and project management skills.

Willingness to travel to regional project sites as required.

SOFTWARE SKILLS

Proficiency in relevant design and presentation tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V Ray, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS Office and Excel.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

Candidates with experience in luxury interiors, retail stores, salons, hospitality, premium commercial spaces, flagship stores or high end customer experience environments will be preferred.

Candidates from reputed design institutions such as NIFT, NID, CEPT or equivalent may be considered an advantage.
