Brief On The Organization

Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.

Project Brief

The Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QUALIPS), established on May 2, 2024, at the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), is dedicated to advancing the Indian healthcare system through quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. By integrating capacity building, behavioral interventions and research, QUALIPS aims to enhance healthcare frameworks and policy development. Through collaborations with national and international organizations, centre is actively addressing critical healthcare challenges and promoting evidence-based decision-making. Centre is dedicated to advancing healthcare quality and patient safety through research, capacity building, and policy advocacy. Our mission is to foster a culture of excellence in healthcare delivery by integrating best practices, innovative approaches, and collaborative learning.

Deliverables

 Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the collaborative research project between QUALIPS, IIPHG and KD Hospital & Foundation.

 Plan and conduct community-based and hospital-based research activities,



including field visits to KD Hospital (2–3 days per week) and outreach sites.

 Develop, pilot, and administer quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and hospital record reviews.

 Liaise with hospital departments, community stakeholders, and project partners to ensure smooth execution of research activities.

 Maintain electronic databases and ensure data quality, integrity, confidentiality, and secure data management.

 Perform data cleaning, validation, preliminary analysis, and interpretation under the guidance of the research team.

 To conduct policy research aligned with quality improvement and management.

 Assist in the preparation of research manuscripts, conference abstracts, policy briefs, and dissemination of study findings.

 Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to project activities.

 Any additional task assigned by the PI.

Qualification: Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health or related discipline.

Experience: Minimum (06) Six months experience of working with Government/ Private organizations/ Public health sector/ Hospitals. Preference will be given to Gujarati Speaking Candidate

Experience working with Public and Private organizations/ Hospitals at administrative level.
