CNC Operator Fanuc Controller Experience Job Description The CNC Operator is responsible for setup execution, precision machining operations, dimensional quality verification, and routine machine upkeep across manufacturing lines. Operating CNC Turning, VMC, or HMC machinery, this role reads engineering drawings, mounts workpieces and tooling, offsets tool wear, conducts First Piece and running inspections, and maintains daily production logs to achieve operational cycle/-time and quality targets Responsibilities/: Machining & Setup Execution/: Load raw materials, mount fixtures, set up tooling, and execute CNC turning, milling, or drilling programs in strict accordance with component operational drawings and SOPs.

In/-Process Quality Inspection/: Perform regular dimensional checks using precision instruments /(Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, plug gauges/) and verify First Piece inspection approvals. Tooling & Machine Upkeep/: Monitor tool wear, adjust geometry and wear offsets, replace worn inserts/cutters, maintain coolant concentration, and carry out daily Autonomous Maintenance /(5S and TPM lubrication routines/).





Defect Prevention & Root Cause Support/: Identify dimensional deviations, surface finish defects, tool chatter, or chip accumulation; pause non/-conforming runs and assist setup engineers in minor troubleshooting. Production Analytics & Output Logging/: Record hourly piece counts, machine runtime, rejection numbers, downtime reasons, and tool life usage on physical shop/-floor boards and digital tracking spreadsheets Skills/: Education/: ITI / Trade Certificate /(Fitter / Machinist / Turner/) or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

Experience/: 3 to 5/+ years of hands/-on experience operating CNC Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers /(VMC/), or Horizontal Machining Centers /(HMC/) in precision engineering setups. Technical Mastery/: Blueprint/engineering drawing reading, GD&T; basics, G/-code/M/-code identification, tool wear offsetting, precision measuring equipment operation, Autonomous Maintenance /(TPM/), and shop/-floor tracking.
