Maintenance Manager Heavy Engineering Industry Job Description Who you are/: Manage all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems throughout the plant; develop long/-term equipment maintenance plans to maximise operational availability.
Optimise preventive maintenance schedules, apply condition/-based/predictive maintenance technology, and oversee the plant/-wide Total Productive Maintenance pillars. Create and oversee yearly operational and capital spending budgets for plant maintenance; optimise contractor contracts, MRO purchases, and crucial spare parts inventory levels.
Ensure that all plant utilities and machinery strictly adhere to lockout/tagout protocols, pressure vessel rules, electrical safety standards, factory acts, and environmental regulatory mandates.



Use enterprise tracking systems and analytics spreadsheets to monitor and evaluate key maintenance parameters, such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE losses, maintenance cost per unit generated, utility efficiency, and spare parts turnover.
