Detailed JD:
Support the Financial Crimes Data Strategy function by establishing and executing a consistent business data requirements process across regulatory, transformation, product, and Financial Crimes initiatives. The consultant will translate business use cases and risk outcomes into clear, testable data requirements and help bridge Business, Product, Data, Technology, and Testing.
Key responsibilities

- Lead elicitation and documentation of business data requirements across Financial Crimes initiatives.
- Translate business capabilities, use cases, regulatory/risk needs, and business decisions into specific data requirements.
- Define required data attributes, business definitions, timing/frequency, granularity, history, and conditions of satisfaction.
- Partner with business SMEs to understand what information is required and why.
- Work with Data Architecture, Product, and Technology to identify potential sources and determine whether existing data can be reused.




- Capture data-quality and fit-for-purpose requirements as part of the requirement-not after delivery.
- Define explicit data acceptance criteria that Testing can validate against.
- Trace requirements from business need through data sourcing, delivery, testing, and acceptance.
- Identify duplicate, conflicting, or overlapping data requirements across initiatives.
- Maintain requirements traceability, open questions, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.
- Support creation of a standardized data-requirements intake and documentation process.
- Review existing requirements and current practices to identify gaps and opportunities for standardization.
- Partner closely with the Business Data Architect so individual requirements align to the broader capability and data strategy.
- Escalate unresolved questions around ownership, authoritative source, criticality, prioritization, or business meaning rather than making those decisions independently.
