Senior SAP BTP Integration Suite Consultant (Success Factors Integration)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP BTP Integration Suite Consultant to lead and drive the integration of SAP Success Factors with a complex enterprise IT landscape. The ideal candidate is an expert in Success Factors OData APIs, API-led integration design, and SAP BTP Integration Suite capabilities. This role requires a solid architect mindset, hands-on implementation expertise, and the ability to modernize and improve existing integration solutions.

The consultant will act as a trusted advisor, promoting API-first integration principles, reusable integration patterns, and high-quality solution design while collaborating closely with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Success Factors Integration

- Design, develop, and support integrations between SAP Success Factors and enterprise applications.
- Lead the implementation of integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh where applicable.
- Translate Success Factors OData APIs into reusable, business-oriented enterprise APIs.
- Define and implement canonical and reusable integration patterns that can be leveraged across multiple projects and domains.
- Design secure,



scalable, and maintainable API architectures.

API-First Architecture

- Champion and enforce an API-first integration strategy.
- Review existing interface landscapes and identify opportunities to replace file-based integrations with API-based alternatives.
- Create reusable API assets, standards, governance models, and design guidelines.
- Drive API lifecycle management, versioning, security, and monitoring practices.

Integration Design & Improvement

- Review existing integration designs and implementations.
- Challenge current approaches and recommend simplification, optimization, and modernization opportunities.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Conduct peer reviews and improve overall solution quality and maintainability.

File-Based Integration Expertise

- Support and optimize file-based integrations where APIs are not feasible.
- Design file transfer solutions using SFTP, CSV, XML, and other file formats.
- Provide guidance on migration paths from file-based integration toward API-led integration models.

Collaboration & Leadership

- Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, HR teams, and application teams.
