Join Us as Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer!

ORBCOMM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure that powers our global business and customer-facing platforms. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing cloud modernization, automation, platform reliability, and operational excellence across our multi-cloud environments.

As a member of our Information Technology & Security team, you will partner closely with application, database, security, and Dev Ops teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud-native solutions that support enterprise operations and customer experiences. Based in Hyderabad, India, you will contribute to the evolution of ORBCOMM’s cloud platforms across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), helping drive scalability, resiliency, and innovation across the organization.

This position is based in our Hyderabad office and will be working an onsite work schedule.

What You’ll Do

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and OCI environments.
- Develop scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions.
- Support enterprise and customer-facing applications with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native infrastructure and platform services.
- Lead cloud modernization initiatives and infrastructure migration projects.

Scalability & Performance Optimization

- Design infrastructure capable of supporting business growth and increasing workload demands.
- Perform capacity planning and develop long-term infrastructure scaling strategies.
- Implement load balancing, auto-scaling, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Conduct performance analysis across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Proactively identify and address infrastructure bottlenecks before they impact production systems.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and related automation tools.
- Automate provisioning, deployment, patching, and configuration management processes.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to improve CI/CD pipeline efficiency and deployment reliability.
- Establish standardized, repeatable cloud infrastructure deployment patterns and best practices.

Reliability, Monitoring & Operations

- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting,



and observability solutions across cloud platforms.
- Support incident response, service restoration, and root cause analysis activities.
- Drive continuous improvements in infrastructure resiliency, recoverability, and operational maturity.
- Participate in on-call support and escalation processes as required.

Security & Compliance

- Apply cloud security best practices across Azure, AWS, and OCI environments.
- Implement identity and access management controls, network security measures, and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Support compliance initiatives, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other applicable frameworks.
- Partner with security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security standards.

Who You Are

You are an experienced cloud infrastructure professional who thrives in complex, high-growth environments. You bring deep expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and infrastructure engineering, along with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support business-critical workloads.

If you have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or cloud engineering roles.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience implementing and supporting large-scale, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Proven success designing systems that support business growth, high transaction volumes, or global user bases.
- Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience administering both Windows and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational monitoring platforms.

Preferred:

- Experience working in multi-cloud environments utilizing two or more of the following: Azure, AWS, and OCI.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerized technologies.
- Azure and/or AWS cloud certifications.




- Experience supporting SaaS platforms and distributed applications.
- Experience with Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and Fin Ops practices.
- Experience implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
- Commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.
