Job Description
About OML
Only Much Louder Entertainment is a market-leading, full-service creative and entertainment business network that has instigated pop culture for over two decades by creating iconic moments across television, digital content, fan experiences, branded entertainment, and in the artist-creator community. Celebrated for creating India's first multi-genre music festival, the NH7 Weekender, Only Much Louder has built India’s independent music and comedy scene from the ground up. We won the first-ever Branded Content and Entertainment Cannes Lion for ‘Dewarists’ and have been the first homegrown content business to have a strong footprint in over 22 countries.
Our businesses include:
- Move Over: OML’s creative agency on a mission to bury the boring. Turning ads into entertainment people actually want to watch, share, and talk about. We help brands act like creators and build fandoms, not just followings.
- Hypothesis: One of India’s fastest growing creator-first & influencer marketing agencies, specializing in data-driven solutions to connect brands with the right audiences
- OML Talent: OML’s legacy business representing over 90+ of the most influential creators, comedians, writers, and storytellers shaping India’s entertainment landscape.
- OML Studios: India’s premier production house developing original IPs for leading OTT platforms. Also helps brands conceptualise and produce original IPs, manage syndication and licensing.
- Eighteen Sixty Two: Bacardi’s offsite content and advertising agency, with campaigns in 20+ countries, delivering top-tier creative and content marketing solutions.
- OML Sports: A creative content studio crafting high-impact ads, social media campaigns, and sportainment content for leading teams and leagues. We bring sports stories to life with innovative formats and audience-first storytelling.
Role Overview:
The Social Media creative professional in a culture-first communications agency is more than just about the social media posts. We are not building a team of calendar fillers (BAU). Yes,
these roles will work on social media retainers and manage the monthly flow of content for brands. But the expectation goes much beyond that.
We are looking for people who understand how brands participate in culture. People who are curious about why certain things travel online, why audiences care, how internet behaviour changes, and how brands can show up in ways that feel sharp, timely, and culturally alive.
The ideal people for this team are not just “social media creatives.” They are people who:
- Track internet behaviour naturally.
- Understand meme culture, fandoms, creators, communities, and digital conversations.
- Can think beyond templates and formats.
- Are excited by brand acts, digital-first campaigns, and cultural participation
- Can move between reactive social thinking and larger campaign thinking
- Understand that social media is not a department anymore — it is how brands behave publicly
Key responsibilities:
- Lead copywriting across social media brands and retainers
- Build monthly content directions with strong writing and platform understanding
- Create reactive and proactive ideas around trends, culture, and audience behaviour
- Contribute to campaign ideas and one-off project briefs
- Work with art teams to improve overall creative output
- Write across formats — static posts, reels, creator scripts, campaign lines, films and digital activations
- Help junior writers improve their thinking and execution
- Present work confidently to internal teams and clients
- Stay updated on internet culture, platform shifts, and emerging content behaviour
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
5-6 years (Total, 1-2 years as a Supervisor) of experience in building creative digital branded content campaigns at a publisher, agency, brand,
or media house
- This role is for someone who can independently lead brand accounts while also contributing to larger creative opportunities.
- You should be strong at day-to-day social thinking, but also curious about how brands participate in culture beyond content calendars.
- You will work across retainers as well as proactive ideas, campaign bursts, creator collaborations, trend-led moments, and digital-first brand thinking.
- This role needs someone who can think quickly, write sharply, and stay culturally aware.
A snapshot of the kind of traits we’re looking for;
Someone who can identify the role of a brand to exist on social media and can build consistent content that builds to the larger brand purpose across formats.
Someone who consumes culture, not just advertising
Someone who notices how people talk online
Someone who understands creators and community behaviour
Someone who enjoys thinking beyond templated social media
Someone who can balance speed with quality
Someone dependable and proactive
Our values:
- We build opportunities for our artists, brands and fans; and it’s key for us to be reliable and efficient
- We demonstrate honesty, excellence and commitment to success
- ‘It’s not my job’ is not part of our vocabulary; we even stuff envelopes
- We make mistakes, but only to learn from them to build resilience
- We take care of ourselves and our colleagues
- We are our own managers
- We are committed to equality and inclusion
- We are mindful of the strain on the Earth's resources and are committed to reversing the trend with our behaviours where possible
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to go through the opportunity we have to offer.
If you apply, please do not share your photo, age, gender, religion or ethnicity in your resume. You do not even need to share your last name. (We want to eliminate biases on any of these parameters while we decide on our shortlisted candidates)
We will get in touch with you if your profile gets shortlisted.
