Were looking for a Motion & Illustration Designer to join our Product Design team and help us create engaging, intuitive, and delightful product experiences.

The Role :
As a Motion & Illustration Designer within the Product Design team, you will work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to bring product experiences to life through motion, illustration, animation, and visual storytelling. You will play a key role in making products more expressive and intuitive from micro-interactions and onboarding experiences to illustrations, empty states, feature education, and complex product flows. Were looking for someone who understands that motion and illustration are not just decorative elements, but powerful tools to communicate, guide, simplify, and enhance the user experience.

What Youll Do
Partner closely with Product Designers and Product Managers from the early stages of product discovery and ideation.
Create motion concepts, animations, and micro-interactions for consumer and supply products.
Bring UI designs to life through meaningful transitions, interactions, feedback states, and animations.
Create illustrations, icons, characters, and visual assets for product experiences.
Design illustrations and motion for onboarding, empty states, error states, success states, feature discovery, education, and engagement.
Develop visual solutions for complex product problems and make them easier for users to understand.
Create motion prototypes to help Product Designers communicate interaction ideas before development.
Collaborate with Engineers to ensure animations and interactions are implemented effectively and maintain design intent.




Build and maintain reusable motion and illustration components, patterns, and guidelines for the Product Design team.
Explore recent interaction and visual design patterns that can improve the overall product experience.
Participate in design critiques and contribute to raising the motion, illustration, and visual craft bar across the Product Design team.
Balance creativity with product constraints, usability, performance, and technical feasibility.

What Were Looking For
3-5 years of experience in Motion Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Illustration, or a related field.
Strong portfolio demonstrating motion + illustration work specifically for digital products/apps.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, visual hierarchy, composition, typography, and storytelling.
Strong illustration skills with the ability to develop original visual styles and assets.
Experience designing micro-interactions, UI animations, transitions, and product motion.
Proficiency in tools such as Figma, After Effects, Illustrator, or equivalent tools.
Experience collaborating closely with Product Designers and Engineers.
Ability to think beyond individual screens and understand how motion and illustration contribute to the overall product experience.
Strong attention to detail and a high bar for craft.




Ability to take an ambiguous product problem and translate it into a clear visual or motion solution.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative product environment.

Good to Have
Experience with Lottie, Rive, ProtoPie, Principle, or similar interaction/motion tools.
Experience creating animations for mobile applications.
Understanding of motion performance and implementation constraints on mobile/web.
Experience with design systems and reusable motion/visual components.
Basic knowledge of 3D or character animation.
Experience working in a consumer-tech or product startup.

Product Designers Product Managers Engineers Research & Data teams Your primary focus will be on product experiences, with occasional collaboration with Brand/Marketing when product-led visual assets are required.
