Job Summary

SAP IBP Senior Consultant Job Description We are looking for a highly experienced SAP IBP Senior Consultant with strong expertise in supply chain planning, SAP IBP implementation, configuration, integration, and production support.

Responsibilities

- Lead SAP IBP workstreams independently.
- Act as SME for SAP IBP planning processes.
- Lead requirement-gathering workshops.
- Review solution designs and functional specifications.
- Guide junior and mid-level consultants.
- Coordinate with offshoreonshore teams.
- Work directly with business stakeholders and client teams.
- Provide estimates and contribute to project planning.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps.
- Ensure quality of SAP IBP configuration and deliverables.
- Drive issue resolution and provide technicalfunctional recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement and optimization of existing IBP solutions.
- Production Support: Strong production-support experience is mandatorypreferred:
- Monitor critical SAP IBP processes and planning jobs.
- Troubleshoot failed interfaces, planning jobs, and application issues.
- Analyze root causes of planning discrepancies.
- Resolve data, configuration, and integration issues.
- Handle production incidents according to SLA.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Perform RCA and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Coordinate with SAP, integration, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Support critical production issues during the Night Shift.
- Ensure proper shift handover and documentation.
- Participate in major incident and escalation management.

- Strong knowledge of SAP IBP planning areas.
- Experience with Planning Objects, Attributes, Key Figures, Time Profiles, and Master Data.
- Experience configuring and managing Planning Views.
- Strong understanding of IBP Operators and Application Jobs.
- Experience with: Statistical Forecasting, Forecast Error Calculation, Forecast Automation, Demand Sensing, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, SOP Operators, Supply Lead Time, ABCXYZ Segmentation, Time-Series-Based Supply Planning.
- Experience with heuristic and optimization-based planning.
- Knowledge of constrained and unconstrained supply planning.
- Experience with capacity, material constraints, sourcing rules, production resources, BOMs, lead times, lot sizes, and inventory targets.
- Experience with scenario planning and simulations.
- Strong knowledge of Excel Add-in for SAP IBP and web-based planning interfaces.
- SAP IBP supports multilevel supply planning, rough-cut planning, response management, allocations, and constrainedoptimization-based planning.

Integration Experience

- Candidates should have strong experience integrating SAP IBP with enterprise systems.
- Preferred experience includes: SAP S4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP APO, SAP BW4HANA, SAP CPI Integration Suite, SAP Data Services, External planning and ERP systems, Master data and transactional data integration, Time-series and order-based planning integration.
- Experience with SAP IBP integration with SAP ERP/SAP S4HANA and other systems is highly preferred.

Configuration & Implementation

- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into SAP IBP solutions.




- Configure planning models and planning processes.
- Design planning areas and planning levels.
- Configure key figures and calculations.
- Configure master data types and attributes.
- Configure time profiles and planning horizons.
- Develop and configure planning views.
- Configure planning operators and application jobs.
- Configure forecast models and forecasting algorithms.
- Configure demand and supply planning processes.
- Design and execute end-to-end planning scenarios.
- Prepare functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Perform knowledge transfer to business and support teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP IBP certification is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale global SAP IBP implementations.
- Experience in S4HANA transformation programs.
- Experience with SAP IBP upgrades and releases.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite CPI.
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Knowledge of SAP APO PPDS is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- ITIL production-support experience is an advantage.
- Strong experience working with global supply-chain organizations.
