Cranes Electrician Technician - Vizag

We are looking for an experienced Crane Electrician Technician with solid knowledge of crawler cranes and telescopic mobile cranes. The candidate should be capable of reading electrical circuit diagrams, diagnosing electrical faults, and carrying out troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities for heavy cranes and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

- Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of crawler cranes and telescopic mobile cranes.
- Read and understand electrical circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and hydraulic-electrical interface systems.
- Diagnose faults related to PLC systems, sensors, relays, CAN bus systems, limit switches, load moment indicators (LMI), and safety devices.
- Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components such as wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, controllers, and electrical panels.
- Attend crane breakdowns at site and provide effective troubleshooting support.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic inspection of crane electrical systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of boom systems, outrigger systems, hoist systems, and safety interlocks.
- Use electrical testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers.
- Follow OEM standards, safety procedures, and company policies during all maintenance activities.




- Coordinate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians for complete crane troubleshooting and repair.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of crawler cranes and telescopic mobile cranes.
- Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems used in heavy equipment/cranes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of CAN bus systems, sensors, PLCs, and crane safety systems.
- Good troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical integrated systems.
- Ability to work independently at project sites and under breakdown conditions.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Additional certification in heavy equipment or crane maintenance will be preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 510 years experience in crane electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with brands like XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano or similar OEM cranes will be an added advantage.
