About the Role

Are you passionate about Economics, Business, global affairs, and developing future-ready thinkers?

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced MYP & DP Economics & Business Management Teacher who can create engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences and connect classroom concepts with real-world economic and business situations.

The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, an understanding of the IB framework, and the ability to inspire students through discussion, research, case studies, analysis, and practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP Economics & Business Management curriculum.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical reasoning, research, and decision-making skills.
- Connect Economics and Business Management concepts to current events, global issues, and real-world business situations.
- Use case studies, projects, discussions, simulations, data analysis, and collaborative activities to enhance learning.
- Guide DP students in preparing for Internal Assessments, examinations, and Extended Essay-related requirements where applicable.
- Support MYP students with appropriate inquiry-based projects and assessment requirements.




- Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Integrate ATL skills, inquiry-based learning, and IB Learner Profile attributes into classroom practice.
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning and collaborate with teachers across departments.
- Assess student learning using appropriate IB assessment criteria and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and wider learning initiatives.
- Stay updated with IB curriculum developments, assessment practices, and effective teaching methodologies.
- Actively participate in professional development and contribute to the academic community.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Studies, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP and/or DP Economics or Business Management.
- Strong understanding of Economics and Business Management concepts.
- Ability to explain complex concepts through practical examples and real-world applications.
- Strong analytical, research, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Passion for inquiry-based,



student-centered learning.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

IB Experience & Curriculum

Experience with IB MYP and/or DP Economics or Business Management is preferred.

An IB Certificate or recognized IB career development in Economics and/or Business Management will be an added advantage.

Candidates with relevant experience in Cambridge, IGCSE, CBSE, ICSE, or other recognized curricula may also be considered, particularly those with strong subject expertise and an interest in transitioning to the IB framework.
