Role Description

The Senior Tekla Modeler & Detailer role at Flood Precast India is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves creating and managing detailed 3D models of precast concrete Structures using Tekla Structures, including Solid walls, Twin walls, floors, beams, columns, and associated connections. The Senior Modeller & Detailer prepares accurate shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and assembly drawings in line with project specifications and company standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with design engineers, project managers, and production teams in Ireland to resolve technical queries, ensure model accuracy, and maintain drawing records. The role also requires leading a team of rebar modellers and detailers, checking and reviewing models and drawings, mentoring junior modelers/detailers, and supporting continuous improvement of modelling and detailing workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modelling and detailing of precast concrete elements,



including floors and structural components.
- Solid understanding of structural and precast concrete design principles, detailing standards, and BS codes.
- Experience producing and checking GA drawings, shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and fabrication/erection drawings.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, coordinate with engineering teams, and resolve technical issues in the model.
- Attention to detail, strong quality focus, and ability to manage multiple projects and drawing deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and site personnel.
- Prior experience in precast concrete modelling and detailing in a senior or lead role; experience with UK or Irish projects is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms, MS Office) and willingness to adopt new digital workflows.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous professional development in modeling and detailing practices.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, MS Office. Knowledge of other BIM software is an advantage.

• Solid sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

• Keen eye for detail.

• Knowledge of precast is a must.

• Knowledge of construction site is an added advantage.

• Eager to learn and upgrade skills.
