What You'll Work On
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java
• Build and optimise high-throughput data pipelines with Kafka and Spark
• Work with systems processing millions of messages per second and terabytes of data
• Design and develop microservices for large-scale enterprise applications
• Build and maintain REST APIs, GraphQL services and Swagger documentation
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including ClickHouse
• Build cloud-native services using Kubernetes, Helm and Docker
• Improve system observability, reliability and performance
• Drive refactoring, optimisation and automated testing
• Collaborate with engineering teams on complex technical and architectural challenges
What We're Looking For
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Solid backend engineering experience
• Excellent hands-on expertise in Java
• Deep working knowledge of Kafka and Spark
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with REST APIs, Swagger and GraphQL
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker
• Understanding of observability and production monitoring
• Experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut is a plus
• Strong refactoring and test automation skills
• Ability to understand and solve complex technical problems
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and high-quality engineering
