Role Overview

We're hiring an SEO Manager to own organic growth end-to-end — technical health, content strategy, and on-page execution — and to work as part of the broader growth team rather than as an isolated specialist. Freelancers and consultants are welcome to apply, provided you can commit to a regular working cadence.

Key Responsibilities

Technical SEO -

Run regular technical SEO audits: site structure, crawlability, indexing, canonicalization, duplicate content, page speed, mobile usability

Work with our web/dev team to prioritize and implement fixes

Own structured data/schema implementation (product, review, FAQ, breadcrumb)

Site architecture & category strategy -

Design and build out category/collection pages mapped to real search demand and our product taxonomy

Own internal linking strategy and site navigation as it relates to organic discoverability

Keyword & content strategy -

Conduct keyword research mapped to buyer intent across the funnel (informational, comparison, transactional)

Build and maintain a content calendar aligned to search opportunity, briefing writers/content team accordingly

Identify and close content gaps against competitors

On-page optimization -

Own title tags, meta descriptions, header structure and on-page content optimization across the site





Continuously test and improve PDP and category page SEO performance

Reporting & strategy -

Report on organic traffic, keyword rankings, and — critically — conversion and revenue by landing page, not just traffic volume

Present findings and recommendations in a way a non-SEO-specialist stakeholder can act on

Cross-functional work -

Collaborate with performance marketing so paid and organic strategies reinforce each other rather than compete

Collaborate with the retention/CRM function on shared first-party data opportunities (e.g. quiz or survey data that can inform content strategy)

Work with content/creative to ensure SEO briefs are actually written into content, not just handed off

What You'll Need -

Proven track record in both technical and content SEO, ideally in e-commerce/D2C

Proficiency with GSC, GA4, and at least one of Ahrefs/SEMrush/Similarweb

Working knowledge of schema markup and basic HTML/CMS familiarity

Ability to prioritize recommendations by revenue impact, not just traffic or ranking movement

If applying as freelance/consultant: availability for a standing weekly check-in — this is an ongoing engagement, not a one-off audit

This role is being hired alongside other growth functions, and the expectation is genuine cross-functional contribution — flagging opportunities in retention, content and paid media, not just delivering a keyword report on a schedule. We're looking for a team player who treats organic as a growth channel with real accountability, not a checklist.

Nice to Have -

Background in beauty, personal care, or a similarly considered-purchase D2C category

Experience building SEO strategy from near-zero investment (i.e., comfortable with foundational work, not just optimization of an already-mature program)

Compensation -

Full time: commensurate with experience. Freelance/retainer: scoped per engagement.
