Mandatory Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma /Degree in Welding, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- Valid CWB Welding Supervisor Certification – Mandatory.
- Candidates without valid CWB certification should not be considered.
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant welding supervision experience, preferably in process plants, chemical plants, heavy fabrication, piping or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, welding consumables, fit-up and welding inspection.
- Exposure to piping, structural fabrication, pressure equipment and/or process plant maintenance will be preferred.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced CWB Certified Welding Supervisor to supervise and control welding and fabrication activities at the Tarapur plant, ensuring compliance with approved welding procedures, quality standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day welding, fabrication at the plant.




- Ensure all welding work is carried out as per approved WPS/PQR, drawings, specifications and applicable codes/standards.
- Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, joint preparation, preheating/interpass temperature and welding parameters.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, Maintenance, Engineering and contractors for welding-related activities.
- Monitor welding quality and ensure compliance with project/plant quality requirements.
- Review and maintain welding documentation, inspection reports, welder qualification records and traceability documents.
- Coordinate and support NDT activities such as RT, UT, MPI and DPT as required.
- Identify welding defects and coordinate corrective/rework actions.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, baking and issue of welding electrodes/consumables.
- Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding sequence and visual inspection of welded joints.
- Ensure compliance with plant HSE requirements, hot-work permits and secure welding practices.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors/client representatives during inspection and testing.
- Maintain daily welding progress and quality reports.
