Job Description We are seeking a highly technical engineer to help build a next-generation Warehouse Execution System (WES) for one of our largest Distribution clients. This orchestration platform will enhance automation technologies connected to the client's WMX/WMS environment. The ideal candidate will bring a background of distributed-systems engineering and industrial warehouse automation experience. Skills and Requirements - 9-12+ Years experience in software engineering with Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot in an Azure environment - Solid exposure to leverage AI (Copilot, Claude, etc.) for accelerated coding - Deep knowledge of distributed systems and developing failure to trigger physical outcomes ? Idempotency, retried, ordering, event-driven architecture, triggers, messaging, state machines, concurrency, and transactional patterns - WES, WMS, or warehouse automation - Work with automation vendors such as Dematic, Lucas, Scallog, AutoStore, KPI/Queen City, PeakLogx, etc. - Experience with multiple automation technologies Conveyors, sortation, AS/RS, goods-to-person robotics, ARM Processors, packing systems, scanners, PLCs, vendor WCS platforms, AGVs, SCADA, OPC-UA, MQTT, Sparkplug B, VDA 5050
