Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Data Conversion / Data Migration Specialist to lead the technical extraction, mapping, transformation, and load sequences of legacy records into our Workday platform. The ideal candidate will build automated ETL scripts, manage high-volume data validation loops, and orchestrate iterative loading sweeps to ensure data integrity during enterprise deployments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimize automated ETL pipelines to extract, clean, and transform legacy HR, payroll, and financial data into Workday-compatible file configurations.

- Map intricate source database components directly into standard Workday object structures, ensuring absolute alignment with target data definitions and object hierarchies.

- Execute high-volume multi-object staging routines utilizing standard deployment loading utilities, advanced file processing automation, and enterprise interface builders (EIBs).

- Build custom validation tracking logs,



scripting automated record-count reconciliations and delta checks to pinpoint alignment errors or missing data points before final sign-off.

- Orchestrate iterative trial data conversions (Gold, Silver, Bronze builds) inside sandbox testing tenants to isolate process bottlenecks and tune implementation runbooks.

- Enforce data privacy guidelines, applying custom masking and security routines to scramble personally identifiable information (PII) during extraction cycles.

- Lead cutover data reconciliation phases, troubleshooting sequence failures, identifying invalid reference fields, and collaborating with module teams to fix formatting defects during go-live drops.

Requirements

- 4 to 8 years of core database engineering or enterprise data migration experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively designing and deploying conversion scripts explicitly for the Workday cloud framework.

- Solid technical mastery of advanced data transformation platforms, SQL database systems, XML formatting, and complex macro structures.

- Deep structural understanding of legacy ERP architectures, employee master schemas, data cleansing methodologies, and the sequence of dependencies during enterprise deployments.

- Mandatory certification: Workday Certified Core Human Capital Management.

Preferred Qualifications

- Workday Certified Integration Studio or Workday Certified Financials Core certification.

- Prior experience managing multi-stream data cutovers across global, multi-region enterprise deployments under highly constrained operational windows.
