Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring EYP Intern to support the Nursery classroom at KIS IB Chembur. The intern will work closely with the EYP Teacher and gain practical experience in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young learners.

The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and interested in developing a career in early years education.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the EYP Teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate classroom activities.
- Support children during play-based, hands-on, and experiential learning activities.
- Assist in setting up learning materials, classroom resources, displays, and activity areas.
- Support children during classroom routines, transitions, snack time, and other daily activities.
- Encourage children to participate in activities and explore their interests independently.
- Observe children's participation, behaviour, interests, and learning and share observations with the class teacher.
- Provide individual attention and support to children as required.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organised, and welcoming classroom workplace.
- Assist the teacher during storytelling, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and other early-years experiences.
- Support the development of children's social, emotional, communication, motor, and self-help skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour, sharing, cooperation, and respectful interactions among children.




- Assist with preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning materials.
- Participate in school events, celebrations, workshops, and other activities as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies and child-safeguarding practices.

Educational Qualification

- Graduate / Undergraduate student or graduate in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- Candidates pursuing or having completed ECCEd / Montessori / Early Childhood Education certification will be preferred.

Experience

- 0–1 year of experience in a school, preschool, daycare, or child-focused environment preferred.
- Freshers and candidates looking to gain practical experience in Early Years Education are welcome to apply.
