Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Business Operations

1. Take complete ownership of day-to-day business operations across the organization.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
3. Ensure smooth coordination between merchandising, sourcing, production, quality, logistics, finance, and management teams.
4. Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
5. Establish effective systems, processes, SOPs, and performance metrics.
6. Ensure all orders and projects are executed within agreed timelines, quality standards, and commercial parameters.

2. Buyer & Client Management

1. Act as a senior point of contact for key international buyers and clients.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, brands, and business partners.
3. Understand buyer requirements, expectations, quality standards, compliance requirements, and delivery schedules.
4. Coordinate buyer meetings, business reviews, factory visits, and commercial discussions.
5. Handle operational escalations and ensure timely resolution of buyer concerns.
6. Support the senior management team in developing and retaining strategic accounts.

3. Merchandising & Order Management

1. Oversee the complete order lifecycle from product development and costing to production and final shipment.
2. Ensure effective coordination between buyers and merchandising teams.
3. Monitor T&A; (Time & Action) calendars and critical order milestones.
4. Review order status, production timelines, approvals, samples, lab dips, trims, fabrics, and shipment schedules.
5. Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions proactively.
6. Ensure timely submission and approval of samples and production-related documents.

4. Sourcing & Vendor Management

1. Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable suppliers, factories, fabric mills, and subcontractors.
2. Evaluate and onboard current vendors based on capability, capacity, quality, compliance, pricing, and delivery performance.

Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
4. Monitor vendor performance and maintain vendor scorecards.
5. Ensure optimum utilization of vendor capacity.
6. Develop alternate sourcing options to reduce operational and supply-chain risks.

5. Production Management

1. Oversee production planning and execution with manufacturing partners.
2. Monitor production capacity, timelines, quality, and delivery commitments.
3. Coordinate with factories to resolve production bottlenecks.
4. Ensure production is aligned with approved samples and buyer specifications.
5. Track production progress and implement corrective measures where required.
6. Ensure timely shipment readiness.

6. Quality Management

1. Establish and maintain strong quality-control processes.
2. Ensure products meet buyer specifications and international quality standards.
3. Coordinate with QA/QC teams and factories on inspection requirements.
4. Monitor quality issues, rejection rates, corrective actions, and recurring defects.
5. Drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.

7. Supply Chain & Logistics

1. Oversee the complete supply-chain process from sourcing through shipment.
2. Coordinate with logistics and freight partners for timely shipment execution.
3. Monitor shipping schedules, documentation, customs requirements, and delivery timelines.
4. Identify potential supply-chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
5. Optimize lead times and logistics costs.

8. Costing & Commercial Management

1. Review product costing, supplier pricing, margins, and commercial terms.

Work closely with merchandising and sourcing teams to achieve target margins.
3. Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
4. Support negotiations with buyers, suppliers, and factories.
5. Monitor operational costs and contribute to overall profitability.

9. Team Leadership & Performance Management

1. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across operations, merchandising, sourcing, production, and quality.
2. Define team responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
3. Conduct regular operational reviews and performance meetings.
4. Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and timely execution.
5. Identify training and development requirements for team members.
6. Develop future operational leaders within the organization.

10. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

1. Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
2. Introduce systems to improve order tracking, communication, productivity, and accountability.
3. Establish dashboards and MIS for monitoring operational performance.
4. Reduce delays, rework, quality issues, and unnecessary operational costs.
5. Drive technology adoption and digitalization wherever appropriate.

11. Compliance & Risk Management

1. Ensure suppliers and factories comply with applicable buyer requirements and company standards.
2. Monitor social compliance, ethical sourcing, sustainability, and factory compliance requirements.
3. Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained.
4. Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.

1. Provide regular MIS and operational reports to the Directors / Senior Management.
