- 6+ years overall technology experience
- Robust Linux administration/troubleshooting
- Strong hands-on AWS
- Minimum 3+ years supporting production applications
- L2/L3 application/platform troubleshooting
- Bash/Shell and/or Python scripting
- Application deployment/release support
- Monitoring/log analysis
- Networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, ports, load balancers
- Database troubleshooting fundamentals
- Incident, Problem Management and RCA
- Production/batch support experience
Responsibilities
- Own application availability and operational readiness
- Investigate incidents across application/Linux/AWS layers
- Manage and operate AWS application environments
- Support critical production batches and rotational weekend activities
- Deploy applications/configuration changes
- Automate operational activities
- Improve monitoring and alerting
- Perform RCA and drive permanent remediation
- Manage AWS security, IAM, governance and operational controls
- Support DR/readiness/capacity activities
- Mentor junior Platform Engineers
