Description

The Chief of Engineering will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ECIL engineering practices. They will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring the department's strategic alignment with the company's goals, and driving continuous improvement and innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire and guide a team of engineers towards achieving exceptional results.

Responsibilities

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Engineering department, aligning with Essar UK Services' overall vision and goals.
- Oversee and manage all engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budget.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and implement them within the department.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions across the organization.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to engineers, promoting professional growth.
- Identify and address any engineering-related challenges or bottlenecks, implementing effective solutions.
- Represent Essar UK Services at industry events, conferences, and meetings,



building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 34 years of experience in the engineering field, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation.
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field, with relevant certifications and professional memberships.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams, with a solid understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and technologies, including a deep understanding of industry trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and provide effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of engineers.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, with a willingness to stay updated with technological advancements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
