Job Description Day to Day - Insight Global is seeking a Remote Data Engineer for one of their simulation software engineering clients. This resource will support a large-scale data modernization initiative involving the migration of enterprise data from on-premises platforms to Snowflake. The ideal candidates will have solid expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, cloud data platforms, and modern data engineering tools. Some responsibilities will include - - Design, develop, and execute data migration strategies from on-premises systems to Snowflake. - Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools. - Profile, cleanse, validate, and reconcile data throughout migration activities. - Develop and maintain data models, transformation logic, and analytics-ready datasets. - Integrate and ingest data from multiple enterprise source systems. - Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. - Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and integration issues. - Support reporting and analytics initiatives leveraging Snowflake and Power BI.
