Job Summary

We are looking for qualified and experienced Stores & Materials Management professionals to join our organization across various levels, from Executive to General Manager. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing material receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, material issue, documentation, procurement coordination, ERP/SAP operations, warehouse management, and project material planning.

Candidates with experience in Real Estate, Railway Infrastructure, large-scale EPC, Construction, Engineering, and Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering – Preferred
• B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA – Operations / Supply Chain / Materials Management
• PG Diploma / Certification in Stores, Inventory or Supply Chain Management – Preferred
• ERP / SAP MM knowledge will be an added advantage
- 1. Stores Executive

Experience: 0-3 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, verify, and record incoming materials at project stores.
• Check materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Maintain proper documentation for material receipts and issues.
• Maintain stock registers, bin cards, and material records.
• Issue materials to project teams against approved material requisitions.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, stacking, and preservation of materials.
• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical materials.
• Conduct physical stock verification and assist in reconciliation.
• Update material transactions in ERP/SAP/Tally or other inventory systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, project, QA/QC, and accounts teams.
• Maintain records of rejected, damaged, surplus, and obsolete materials.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety standards within the stores area.
• Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

2. Senior Stores Executive

Experience: 4-6 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day stores and warehouse operations at project sites.
• Supervise material receipt, inspection, storage, and issue activities.
• Verify materials received against purchase orders and approved specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ERP/SAP transactions.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate material requirements with project teams.
• Prepare material receipt notes, material issue notes, and stock statements.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
• Track slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors regarding material shortages and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper preservation and storage of construction and engineering materials.
• Maintain documentation for audits and management review.
• Supervise Stores Assistants, Helpers, and other warehouse personnel.
• Prepare MIS reports related to inventory, consumption, and material movement.

3. Stores Manager

Experience: 7-10 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Lead stores and warehouse operations for one or multiple projects.
• Manage a team of Stores Executives, Supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
• Plan and control material receipt, storage, issue, and movement.




• Monitor project-wise inventory and material consumption.
• Ensure availability of critical materials as per project requirements.
• Establish and maintain proper inventory control systems.
• Review stock reconciliation and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, construction, QA/QC, and accounts departments.
• Ensure proper documentation and ERP/SAP updating of all material transactions.
• Conduct regular physical stock audits and cycle counts.
• Develop and implement material handling, storage, and preservation procedures.
• Monitor vendor deliveries and resolve material-related discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly inventory MIS and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with project, company, safety, and quality procedures.

4. Senior Stores Manager

Experience: 11-15 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Stores & Materials functions across multiple projects or regions.
• Develop and implement inventory management strategies and processes.
• Monitor material planning, procurement coordination, storage, and consumption.
• Review project-wise material requirements and inventory positions.
• Control inventory carrying costs and optimize working capital.
• Establish systems for minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder points.
• Monitor material reconciliation against BOQ, project requirements, and actual consumption.
• Lead periodic physical stock verification and internal inventory audits.
• Analyze slow-moving, excess, surplus, and obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with procurement and project management teams for timely material availability.
• Drive ERP/SAP implementation and inventory process automation.
• Develop standardized stores procedures across multiple project locations.
• Monitor material losses, damages, wastage, and pilferage.
• Prepare management dashboards and MIS related to inventory performance.
• Guide and mentor stores and warehouse teams across locations.

5. Deputy General Manager (Stores & Materials)

Experience: 15-20 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Lead regional or multi-project Stores & Materials operations.
• Develop and implement organizational inventory and warehouse strategies.
• Establish standardized systems for material planning, receipt, storage, issue, and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory performance across multiple projects and locations.
• Optimize inventory levels, working capital, and material utilization.
• Oversee material planning in coordination with procurement and project teams.
• Establish controls for material losses, wastage, damage, and pilferage.
• Review project-wise material consumption and inventory variances.
• Drive ERP/SAP-based inventory management and digital transformation.
• Develop warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and storage standards.
• Lead inventory audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with senior management, procurement, planning, finance, and project teams.
• Develop KPIs for stores and materials performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Build and develop high-performing Stores & Materials teams.

General Manager - Stores & Materials

Experience: 20+ Years

Key Responsibilities

- Head the overall Stores, Materials & Warehouse Management function of the organization.
• Define and execute enterprise-wide materials management strategies.
• Establish policies and systems for procurement coordination, inventory control, warehousing, and material utilization.
• Lead material planning and inventory management across projects and business verticals.
• Drive inventory optimization, cost reduction, and working capital improvement.
• Review material availability, consumption, inventory levels, and project requirements across India.
• Establish enterprise-wide controls for material losses, wastage, damages, and pilferage.
• Lead ERP/SAP transformation and automation of Stores & Materials processes.
• Develop standardized warehouse and stores management systems across all locations.
• Monitor inventory KPIs, material reconciliation, and project-wise material performance.
• Support strategic procurement and vendor management activities.
• Establish systems for surplus, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving material management.
• Present inventory and materials performance reports to Directors, Management, and Key Stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, project requirements, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor Stores & Materials leadership teams across multiple regions.
• Act as a strategic business partner to Management for material planning, inventory optimization, and project execution.
