Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Master Data Management professional with a strong background in the FMCG / Food Manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining and governing master data across Material/Product, Customer, Vendor/Supplier and other business master data domains.

The role will ensure that master data is accurate, complete, standardized and maintained within defined company policies and processes. The candidate will work closely with Purchase, Sales, Finance, Accounts, Warehouse, Production, IT and Management teams to ensure smooth and reliable data flow across the organization.

- Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete lifecycle of Material, Product, Customer and Vendor Master Data.
- Create, modify, extend, block and deactivate master data as per approved business requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of master data across ERP/SAP and other business systems.
- Develop and implement Master Data Management policies, processes and SOPs.
- Verify master data creation requests and supporting documents before system entry.
- Identify and eliminate duplicate, incorrect or incomplete master records.
- Conduct regular data cleansing, validation, standardization and enrichment activities.
- Maintain proper coding structures, material groups, units of measurement, tax classifications and other relevant master data attributes.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Finance teams for Vendor/Supplier Master creation and modification.




- Coordinate with Sales and Commercial teams for Customer Master creation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and Warehouse teams for Material/Product Master management.
- Ensure master data is aligned with business processes, statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Monitor and resolve master data-related issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain proper approval workflows and segregation of duties for master data changes.
- Prepare regular MDM reports, MIS and KPI dashboards for management.
- Monitor data quality KPIs, turnaround time and SLA compliance.
- Support ERP/SAP implementation, migration, data mapping and master data upload activities.
- Participate in data migration, cleansing and validation projects during system changes or business expansion.
- Work with IT/ERP teams to resolve system-related master data issues.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in master data management.
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails and records for all master data changes.
- Train relevant users on master data processes, policies and data standards.
- FMCG-Specific ResponsibilitiesManage master data for SKU, finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials and consumables.
- Maintain product specifications, product hierarchy, categories, brands and material classifications.
- Ensure correct UOM, pack size, case configuration, HSN/GST,



shelf life and product attributes.
- Coordinate with Sales/Distribution teams for customer and channel master data.
- Ensure master data supports inventory, procurement, production, sales, billing and reporting processes.
- Maintain data accuracy for new product launches and SKU modifications.
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).
- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems.
- Solid knowledge of Material, Customer and Vendor Master Data.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Power BI / Power Query will be an advantage.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality control and process compliance.

SAP MDG / SAP S/4HANA experience will be an added advantage, particularly for candidates handling governance, workflows, validation and data-quality processes.

- QualificationGraduate in B.Com / BBA / B.Tech / MBA / equivalent discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Master Data Management.
- FMCG / Food & Beverage / Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in SAP/ERP-based master data management is preferred.

Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have experience in an FMCG organization and understand how master data impacts Purchase, Inventory, Production, Sales, Distribution, Finance and Reporting.

Salary: ₹50,000 per month onwards, depending on experience and skill set.

Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period will be preferred.
