Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Construction

Experience Required: 4+ years in outside sales, preferably within the construction, building materials, or related industrial sector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow revenue by identifying, developing, and closing current business opportunities within the construction industry. This role involves regular field visits to job sites, contractor offices, and client locations to build relationships and drive product/service adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, builders, architects, and construction firms
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular site visits and follow-ups
- Understand client project requirements and recommend appropriate products/services/solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotations, and proposals
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals profitably
- Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, and account activity using CRM tools




- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, estimating, logistics) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and site meetings to generate leads
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing in the construction sector
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 4 years of proven outside/field sales experience, ideally in construction, building materials, or industrial supply
- Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and project cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office
- Bachelor's degree preferred (not mandatory with relevant experience)
