We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant to independently handle the company’s accounting and statutory compliance.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, sincere, detail-oriented and willing to take complete ownership of the accounts function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.
- Handle finalisation of accounts.
- Prepare and review ledgers, journal entries, trial balance, P&L; and Balance Sheet.
- Handle GST compliance and return filing.
- Handle GST ITC reconciliation and ensure accurate and timely filings.
- Handle TDS and other applicable statutory returns.
- Conduct regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
- Maintain proper accounting records, supporting documents and files.
- Coordinate with the CA, auditors and tax consultants as required.
- Assist with audits and provide required schedules and documentation.
- Ensure all accounting and statutory compliances are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Identify discrepancies or errors and resolve them independently.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting, GST and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience in finalisation of accounts and filing of returns.
- Should be capable of independently handling the complete accounts function.
- Valuable working knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel.
- CA Inter / ICWA Inter preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and good reconciliation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
