Requirement: 7–10 years of relevant experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Operations, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Mandatory experience in steel, metals, heavy manufacturing, power generation, or a closely related industry. Strong hands-on exposure to integrated steel plant operations is highly preferred. Experience across one or more of the following areas: Coke Ovens Blast Furnace Steel Melting Shop Rolling Mills Captive Power Plant Utilities Maintenance Process Engineering Quality Required Technical Skills: Robust understanding of Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodology. Strong knowledge of TPM, OEE, Kaizen, 5S, SPC, FMEA, 8D, RCA, and process capability analysis. Understanding of steel manufacturing processes and metallurgical operations. Understanding of power plant efficiency metrics such as PLF, heat rate, auxiliary consumption, and thermal efficiency.



Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in Minitab or equivalent statistical analysis software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI/Tableau. Ability to quantify project benefits and translate operational improvements into financial savings. Success in this role will be measured through improvements in: Conversion cost per tonne Energy consumption per tonne Raw material consumption Metallic yield Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Plant productivity and throughput Equipment availability Unplanned downtime Scrap, rejection, cobble, and scale losses Right First Time (RFT) Customer complaints Captive power PLF Specific energy consumption Realized cost savings from improvement projects Number and value of successfully completed Lean Six Sigma projects
