Position Title: Zscaler Cloud Security Engineer

Location: India (100% Remote)

Duration: Long Term Contract Only

Pay Rates: $8-10 US Dollars Per Hour

Start Date: Immediate

Note: Hands-on ZIA/ZPA experience is mandatory. Do not to apply if you are a simply cloud-security engineer with Zscaler mentioned as a skill; we want someone who has actually administered and troubleshot ZIA/ZPA in production.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Zscaler Cloud Security Engineer to provide implementation, administration, operational support, and troubleshooting for an enterprise Zscaler environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and a solid foundation in enterprise networking, cloud security, identity and access management, and security operations.

This is a hands-on technical role supporting a large enterprise environment. Candidates should be comfortable handling production incidents, troubleshooting complex connectivity and security issues, implementing changes, and working with network, cloud, security, and application teams.

Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day administration, operational support, and troubleshooting for the Zscaler security setting.
- Configure, manage, and support Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Support ZIA security policies, URL filtering, firewall policies, SSL inspection, cloud application controls, and related security configurations.
- Configure and troubleshoot ZPA application access, application segments, segment groups, server groups, App Connectors, and access policies.
- Troubleshoot user connectivity, authentication, application access, performance, and policy-related issues.
- Support and troubleshoot Zscaler Client Connector deployment and connectivity issues.
- Integrate Zscaler with enterprise identity providers and authentication technologies such as SAML, SSO, Active Directory,



and MFA.
- Troubleshoot networking issues involving DNS, routing, VPNs, proxies, firewalls, TCP/IP, and secure web traffic.
- Support traffic forwarding methods and connectivity between users, enterprise networks, cloud environments, and Zscaler services.
- Monitor the Zscaler environment and analyze logs to identify security, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Handle L2/L3 escalations and perform root cause analysis for recurring or critical incidents.
- Participate in P1/P2 incident response and major incident troubleshooting as required.
- Implement approved configuration changes and enhancements in accordance with enterprise change-management processes.
- Work with network, cloud, security, application, and infrastructure teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Assist with new Zscaler implementations, migrations, upgrades, policy changes, and service enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve security posture, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Zscaler in an enterprise production environment.
- Practical experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA).
- Practical experience with Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Zscaler Client Connector.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- HTTP/HTTPS
- SSL/TLS
- Routing
- VPN
- Proxy technologies




- Firewalls
- Experience troubleshooting authentication and access issues involving SAML, SSO, Active Directory, and/or MFA.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production security and connectivity issues.
- Experience with incident, problem, and change-management processes in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and clearly document technical findings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with geographically distributed technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Zscaler certifications such as Zscaler Certified Administrator, Zscaler Certified Engineer, or other relevant Zscaler certifications.
- Experience with additional Zscaler technologies or capabilities such as ZDX, CASB, DLP, Cloud Firewall, or Digital Experience monitoring.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and enterprise networking environments.
- Experience with enterprise firewall, WAF, or network-security technologies.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, vulnerability management, SIEM, and cloud-security platforms.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or global production environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on Zscaler engineer who can independently troubleshoot production issues rather than relying solely on vendor support. The individual should understand both the security-policy side of Zscaler and the underlying networking technologies required to diagnose connectivity and application-access problems.

Candidates with broader cloud-security, firewall, WAF, AWS/Azure, and enterprise networking experience are strongly preferred, provided they also have meaningful hands-on Zscaler experience
