We require a Yard Operative to join our K-Power depot, supporting the Generator Division with the preparation, maintenance and movement of generators and associated equipment. The role will involve keeping the yard organised, preparing equipment for hire and return, assisting with loading and unloading, and supporting the team with the day-to-day operation of the depot. What You Will Do

- Carry out routine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance of generators and associated equipment.
- Prepare generators and equipment for hire, ensuring they are clean, in positive condition and ready for delivery.
- Assist with loading and unloading generators, cables, distribution equipment and other equipment from vehicles.
- Check returned equipment and report any damage, faults or issues to the relevant team member.
- Assist the K-Power team with servicing, repairs and general workshop and yard duties.
- Keep the yard, workshop and equipment storage areas clean, safe and organised.
- Assist with deliveries, collections and the movement of equipment around the depot.
- Provide assistance to customers and delivery personnel when loading and collecting equipment.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and company policies and procedures.

What You Will Need

- Good practical and problem-solving skills.




- Good attention to detail and the ability to carry out checks accurately.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating forklift trucks would be advantageous.
- A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of generators and associated equipment. Full training will be provided.
- Full driving licence.
