Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Xstore Technical Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Retail Xstore POS development, customization, integration, and production support. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Xstore applications and integrating them with enterprise retail systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and enhance Oracle Retail Xstore POS applications.

- Work on Xstore Java-based customizations, extensions, and configurations.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Develop and maintain integrations between Xstore and backend systems such as Oracle Retail, OMS, ERP, payment systems, and inventory systems.

- Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.

- Troubleshoot Xstore application issues and provide production support.

- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve technical defects.

- Participate in application upgrades, patches, deployments, and environment migrations.

- Develop unit and integration tests and support SIT/UAT.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, QA teams, and other technical teams.

- Prepare technical design documents and support code reviews.

- Follow coding standards, version control, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Xstore / Xstore POS.

- Strong Java/J2EE development experience.

- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot is preferred.





- Good knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and system integrations.

- Experience with SQL and relational databases.

- Understanding of retail POS processes such as:
- Sales transactions

- Returns/refunds

- Discounts/promotions

- Payments

- Inventory

- Customer management

- Store operations

- Experience in Xstore customization and extension development.

- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and messaging/integration concepts.

- Experience with Git or other source-control tools.

Valuable-to-Have Skills

- Oracle Retail Suite experience such as Xstore, RMS, OMS, SIM, or Pricing.

- Experience with Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB).

- Knowledge of Oracle Retail Enterprise Integration (REI).

- Experience with payment integrations and payment terminals.

- Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/OCI.

- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

- Docker/Kubernetes exposure.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 4–8 years of overall IT experience.

- 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Xstore/POS experience.

- Strong Java development and debugging skills.

- Experience working on retail implementations or production support.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and coordinate with offshore/onshore teams.
