Plant Operations and Monitoring

- Oversee daily functioning of treatment units like aeration, filtration, clarification, and chemical dosing.

- Control water parameters such as pH, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), and TSS (Total Suspended Solids).

- Manage biological health, nutrient cycles, and sludge handling systems. [1, 2]

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance for pumps, blowers, motors, and pipelines.

- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation or PLC/SCADA issues.

- Ensure adequate stock of treatment chemicals, consumables, and spare parts. [1, 2]

Compliance and Documentation

- Ensure strict adherence to Pollution Control Board (PCB/SPCB/CPCB) discharge norms and environmental laws.

- Maintain statutory logs, daily operation reports,



and laboratory testing data.

- Facilitate internal and external regulatory audits and inspections. [1, 2, 3]

Team Leadership and Safety

- Lead and supervise site engineers, technicians, and plant operators.

- Prepare shift rosters, duty schedules, and conduct safety training.

- Enforce safety protocols, including confined space entry and chemical handling safety. [1, 2]

Cost and Resource Management

- Monitor operational budgets, energy consumption, and optimize chemical usage.

- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve plant efficiency and reduce costs. [1, 2]
