Platform & DevOps Intern — World Trade Factory (AlphaScrum)

We run six web properties under World Trade Factory: a research publication, an AI onboarding platform, a DeFi gateway, a wealth advisory product, a serialised fiction universe, and AlphaScrum — a delivery consultancy with a free 79-article knowledge library.

Six properties across Vercel, Supabase, Render, Upstash, Resend, GCP and an Ethereum testnet. Most of it is still configured by hand, in dashboards, by one person. That is the job: make that stop being true.

WHAT YOU'D ACTUALLY DO

- Move configuration out of dashboards and into files that can be

reviewed in a diff — environment variables, database migrations, DNS, auth settings.
- Build and maintain small tools that make drift impossible rather than

merely visible. Our first one declares each workplace variable once and refuses to let two projects disagree about a shared secret.
- Own deployments: pipelines, preview environments, rollbacks, and

knowing within minutes when a build breaks.
- Keep secrets boring — one source, scoped tokens, rotation that takes

one command.
- Help run an internal operations console where AI agents propose work

and humans approve it. You'll maintain the plumbing underneath.





WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- You've deployed something real and watched it break. A personal

project counts. A CI pipeline you fixed at 1am counts more.
- Comfortable in a terminal, in Git, and in someone else's codebase.
- JavaScript or TypeScript, and enough Node to write a script that does

one thing properly.
- SQL, and a working understanding of why row-level security exists.
- You read error messages before searching them.

NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED Next.js, Supabase, Terraform or similar, GitHub Actions, a scripting language you like better than the one we use.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

This is not an AI research role. You will not be fine-tuning models. The

AI parts of our stack are already built; what they need is infrastructure that doesn't fall over. Most of this work is unglamorous, and the satisfaction is in the number of manual steps that no longer exist.

HOW WE WORK

Small team, no ceremony, no daily standup. You'll be given real access and real responsibility, in that order and not on the first day.
