Job Title: Workday Extend Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Extend Developer to design, develop, and implement custom applications on the Workday Extend platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Workday architecture, Workday Extend, integrations, business processes, and APIs, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Build and maintain Workday Extend applications to address business needs not covered by standard Workday functionality.
- Develop and consume integrations using:
- Workday Web Services (WWS)
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Workday Studio
- Create and maintain calculated fields, reports, and business process configurations to support Extend applications.
- Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and compliance with Workday best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday Extend applications and integrations.
- Support Workday releases and evaluate impacts on custom applications.
- Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and deployment artifacts.




- Participate in code reviews and maintain development standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of Workday technical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Extend development.
- Robust understanding of:
- Workday HCM
- Workday Security Framework
- Workday Business Processes
- Workday Reporting
- Experience in developing and supporting Workday integrations.
- Proficiency in:
- JSON
- XML
- REST/SOAP APIs
- XSLT
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Workday Extend Certification.
- Experience with Workday Studio.
- Experience in Workday HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, or Finance modules.
- Knowledge of cloud application architecture and integration patterns.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD practices, and DevOps methodologies.
