Role Description

Kevalon Technology is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated WordPress Developer with 0–6 months of experience to join our Ahmedabad team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, testing, and optimizing WordPress websites for different business requirements. The role provides an chance to work on real-world corporate websites, business websites, landing pages, blogs, and e-commerce websites while collaborating with UI/UX designers, backend developers, SEO specialists, digital marketing teams, and project managers.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, themes, plugins, responsive web design, and website optimization. Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, certifications, or hands-on WordPress projects are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain responsive websites using WordPress.
- Customize WordPress themes and templates according to project requirements.
- Install, configure, and customize WordPress plugins.
- Convert UI/UX designs into functional WordPress websites.
- Develop business websites, landing pages, blogs, and e-commerce websites.
- Customize WordPress layouts, pages, menus, widgets, and website components.
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL when required.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress websites.




- Configure and maintain WooCommerce websites.
- Implement website forms, payment gateways, maps, social media integrations, and other third-party services.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and usability.
- Ensure websites are compatible across different browsers and devices.
- Debug and troubleshoot WordPress errors and technical issues.
- Perform website updates, backups, migrations, and maintenance.
- Implement basic website security and performance best practices.
- Assist SEO teams with technical website requirements.
- Optimize website structure, URLs, metadata, images, and other on-page elements when required.
- Maintain and update existing client websites.
- Work with hosting, domains, SSL certificates, and basic server configurations.
- Use Git/GitHub for version control when required.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, SEO specialists, QA teams, and project managers.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Prepare basic technical documentation.
- Learn and adopt new WordPress, web development, and website optimization technologies.

Required Skills
- Basic to good knowledge of WordPress Development.
- Understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, pages, posts, menus, widgets, and customization.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
- Basic understanding of MySQL/database concepts.
- Understanding of responsive web design.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress website customization and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Familiarity with VS Code or similar development tools.
- Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.
- Basic understanding of website hosting, domains, and SSL.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.




- Willingness to learn new technologies and development practices.

Good to Have
- Knowledge of Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.
- Experience with WooCommerce customization.
- Knowledge of PHP and custom WordPress theme development.
- Knowledge of custom plugin development.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/jQuery.
- Knowledge of MySQL and database management.
- Experience with REST API integration.
- Knowledge of payment gateway integration.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and basic SEO.
- Knowledge of website speed optimization and Core Web Vitals.
- Understanding of WordPress security and malware protection.
- Familiarity with hosting platforms such as cPanel.
- Knowledge of website migration and backup/restore processes.
- Experience with academic, internship, freelance, or personal WordPress projects.

Experience & Education
- Experience: 0–6 months in WordPress / Web Development.
- Freshers are welcome to apply if they have relevant WordPress projects, internships, coursework, certifications, or practical experience.
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent practical knowledge in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interest in website development and willingness to learn is essential.
