Welding EngineerRoles and Responsibilities

- Should have hands-on experience in preparation of WPS, PQR &
- WPQ

.

- Coordinate welding procedure qualification requirements with the testing laboratories.

- Review, comment and approve supplier welding procedures and welder performance qualifications.

- Should have hands-on experience in preparation of Welding Map and Repair Procedure.

- Good knowledge of codes & standards viz. ASME, PED, etc.

- Good knowledge of NDT techniques.

- Analyse engineering drawings for welding requirements.

- Understand customer tender documents and prepare the welding procedures.

- Conduct failure analysis and cause analysis on welding issues.

- Lead welding-related projects.

- Good knowledge of PWHT requirements.

- Maintain and ensure all welding equipment is in working order.

- Prepare SOPs for welding processes.

- Knowledge of robotic welding programming.

- Knowledge of the latest welding technologies.

- Prepare technical reports and work summaries.

- Respond to shop and field questions and/or non-conformances in a timely manner.

- Familiar with systems viz. ERP, Microsoft Excel, Word &

- PowerPoint

applications.





- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them via projects/initiatives.

- Conduct process audits to drive process standardization.

Critical Competencies

- Should be familiar with ISO 9001 audit process.

- Good communication skills.

- Analytical in thought process and self-driven.

- Focused on continuous improvement approach and customer-centric.

- Knowledge of welding machine and tracks calibration.

- Should be familiar with ASME audit process &
- ISO 3834 certification

Knowledge / Skill Requirements

- Welding Processes – Basic knowledge, advantages, limitations and welding inspection.

- Measuring Instruments – Tape, Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Weld Gauges.

- NDE Techniques – Advantages, limitations and acceptance criteria.

- Manufacturing &
- Fabrication Processes

- Interpretation of Codes &

- Standards

– ASME, PED, etc.

- Drawing Reading &

- Interpretation

- Quality Systems.

- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
