Rare Roots is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Wedding Stylist (Interior Designer) who can transform concepts into immersive, elegant, and experiential wedding environments.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of interior design, spatial planning, décor styling, materials, colours, furniture, florals, lighting, and event aesthetics. You will work closely with the creative and production teams to develop wedding environments that are visually distinctive and practically executable.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative concepts, themes, mood boards, and styling directions for weddings and events.
- Design and style mandaps, stages, entrances, lounges, dining areas, foyers, bars, photo zones, and other event spaces.
- Translate client requirements and creative briefs into detailed design concepts.
- Prepare and review 2D layouts, elevations, sketches, 3D references, mood boards, and presentation decks.
- Select appropriate colours, fabrics, furniture, props, florals, textures, materials, lighting, and décor elements.
- Coordinate with 3D designers, floral designers, fabricators, lighting teams, production managers, and vendors.
- Ensure that the final execution matches the approved design concept and maintains the required scale, proportions, detailing, and finish.
- Conduct venue visits and understand existing architecture, dimensions, access points, and site conditions.
- Participate in design discussions, client presentations, revisions, and creative reviews.
- Prepare styling specifications and communicate design requirements clearly to the production team.
- Source and coordinate décor materials, furniture, props, accessories,



and styling elements.
- Supervise on-site installation and styling during wedding events whenever required.
- Maintain high standards of luxury aesthetics, detailing, craftsmanship, and visual consistency.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in wedding décor, hospitality interiors, luxury events, furniture, florals, lighting, and experiential design.

Required Skills
- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Fashion Styling, Event Design, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in interior design, wedding styling, event décor, hospitality, or luxury events.
- Strong understanding of space planning, proportions, colour theory, materials, textures, furniture, and décor.
- Excellent creative and visualisation skills.
- Ability to develop concepts from an initial idea through to final execution.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar design software.
- Ability to understand and interpret 3D renders, drawings, elevations, and technical layouts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for venue visits and event executions.

Preferred Skills




- Experience with luxury Indian weddings and large-scale celebrations.
- Knowledge of Indian traditional, contemporary, and international wedding aesthetics.
- Understanding of floral design and event lighting.
- Experience working with fabricators, decorators, florists, rental vendors, and production teams.
- Strong vendor coordination and on-site execution skills.
- A good sense of photography, visual composition, and social-media-worthy event styling.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is not just a designer, but a creative thinker and problem solver.

You should be able to look at an empty venue and visualise the complete experience — from the entrance and guest journey to the stage, furniture, florals, lighting, textures, and smallest styling details.

Creativity + Design Understanding + Execution Ability + Attention to Detail are essential for this role.
