We’re Hiring for a WebSphere Commerce Developer

Location: Chennai

Experience: 4+ years

We are looking for an experienced HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce Developer with strong hands-on experience in WCS v8, Java, Spring Boot, and modern React/Next.js storefronts.

Must-Have Skills:

- HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS) v8.x
- Java / J2EE / Object-Oriented Design
- WebSphere Application Server
- Spring / Spring MVC & Spring Boot
- REST & SOAP Web Services
- JavaScript, HTML & CSS
- React & Next.js – production experience required
- Git / Bitbucket & Agile development
- Jira & Confluence

Key Experience:

- WCS storefront customization, business logic, catalog/order/user flows
- Integration with backend systems and enterprise services
- Developing and consuming Spring Boot REST APIs
- Commerce-to-React/Next.js storefront integration
- Unit testing, defect troubleshooting & root-cause analysis
- Working in a dual-run architecture – Legacy WCS + Modern Storefront




- Experience with B2B eCommerce applications

Good to have:

- B2B Commerce / Punchout experience
- Headless / Composable Commerce
- TypeScript
- Solr / Redis / Caching
- CMS-driven storefronts
- MuleSoft or similar iPaaS
- Angular / Vue

Important: This is NOT a greenfield-only Next.js or Spring Boot role. Solid hands-on HCL Commerce v8 experience is the hiring bar. Candidates with only generic Java, WebSphere Portal, Next.js, or Spring Boot experience will not be a fit.
