Key Roles &
- Responsibilities
1. Warranty Claim Processing &
- Administration
- Review daily job cards and repair orders to identify vehicles eligible for standard, extended, or AMC warranty coverage.
- Prepare, upload, and submit warranty claims into Ashok Leyland’s Dealer Management System (e-Dealer / Siebel portal) within specified timeframes.
- Track pending, query-raised, or rejected claims; coordinate with Ashok Leyland Regional Service Managers (RSM) or Area Service Managers (ASM) to provide justifications and ensure timely claim settlement.
- Maintain records of claim acceptance ratios, rejected claims, and pending credit notes.
1. Technical Verification &
- Evidence Management
- Inspect failed aggregates and components alongside workshop technicians to verify cause of failure.
- Capture clear digital photographs, diagnostic logs (using Leydiagnostic/diagnostic tools), and technical failure write-ups as required by OEM guidelines.
- Ensure accurate recording of chassis numbers, engine numbers, mileage/hours, and part serial numbers.
1. Defective Part Management &
- Tagging
- Ensure every defective part replaced under warranty is properly labeled with an official Ashok Leyland warranty tag containing claim details.
- Maintain the Warranty Scrap Yard / Scrap Store in an audit-ready state, categorized by claim status (pending inspection, approved, scrap, or return-to-OEM).
- Coordinate supplier warranty claims for proprietary components (e.g., Bosch, Wabco, Lucas-TVS, ZF, Cummins).
1. Audit &
- Compliance
- Maintain comprehensive warranty documentation, invoices, job cards, and part delivery notes for internal and OEM audits.
- Ensure workshop compliance with Ashok Leyland Warranty Manual guidelines and audit standard operating procedures (SOPs).
1. Reporting &
- Coordination
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on claim status, pending amounts, rejection rates, and common part failure trends.
- Provide feedback to Service Advisors and Technicians to reduce misdiagnosis or non-reimbursable part replacements.
Candidate Profile &
- Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (or MVM ITI with relevant experience).
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience handling warranty operations in a commercial vehicle (MHCV/LCV) authorized dealership setup.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of heavy vehicle aggregates (BS6 diesel engines, SCR/EATS emission systems, air brakes, transmissions, electricals).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in OEM Dealer Management Systems (DMS), Ashok Leyland warranty portals, and MS Excel.
- Key Competencies: Attention to detail, technical analysis, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.
Pay: ₹144,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
