Job Summary
Grad 2 Global Educational Services is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Study Abroad Counsellor to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of overseas education destinations, excellent counselling and communication skills, and the ability to convert student enquiries into successful enrolments.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities.
Understand students' academic background, career goals and preferences.
Recommend suitable courses, universities and study destinations.
Guide students through the complete application and admission process.
Assist with SOP, LOR and other application documentation.
Provide guidance on visa requirements and interview preparation.
Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication.
Manage leads and achieve monthly admission/enrolment targets.
Coordinate with universities and internal teams for applications and admissions.
Maintain accurate student records and provide timely updates.
Stay updated on university intakes, eligibility criteria, scholarships and admission requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in Study Abroad / Overseas Education counselling.
Strong knowledge of major study-abroad destinations such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore and Europe.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong student counselling and interpersonal skills.
Target-oriented approach with good follow-up and lead-conversion abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of the university application and visa process will be an advantage.
