We are looking for an experienced, responsible and highly accountable Senior Accountant / Accounts In-Charge who can independently manage the day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, banking, receivables, payables and inventory-related accounting of the company.
The candidate should be hands-on, systematic, disciplined and responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timely completion of all assigned accounting work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete day-to-day accounting of the company.
- Prepare and file GST Returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST compliances.
- Reconcile GST input/output and ensure correctness of GST records.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments and TDS returns.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation for all company bank accounts.
- Monitor bank entries and ensure that all receipts and payments are properly accounted for.
- Prepare sales invoices, tax invoices, debit notes and credit notes.
- Handle e-Invoicing and E-Way Bills, wherever applicable.
- Check invoices for correct rates, quantities, GST and other commercial details.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
- Perform regular customer and vendor reconciliation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and prepare customer ageing reports.
- Follow up internally regarding overdue customer payments.
- Maintain and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure that purchases, sales and expenses are correctly booked under appropriate accounting heads.
- Reconcile stock/inventory records with accounts.
- Verify incoming stock, purchase entries and supporting documents.
- Ensure that stock received is properly entered against the relevant Purchase Order / GRN / supplier invoice.
- Identify discrepancies between physical stock, software stock and accounting records.
- Maintain proper accounting records for the concerned company/business entity.
- Conduct ledger scrutiny and identify incorrect, duplicate or missing entries.
- Prepare monthly accounting reports and reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
- Coordinate with CA / auditors for GST, TDS, statutory compliance and audit requirements.
- Maintain complete supporting documentation and proper filing of accounting records.
- Ensure that statutory payments and returns are completed before their respective due dates.
Daily End-of-Day Reporting Mandatory The Accounts In-Charge will be required to submit a Daily End-of-Day Accounts Report before leaving the office. The daily report should clearly mention:
- Bank reconciliation status.
- Payments received from customers.
- Payments made to suppliers and other parties.
- Customer outstanding / overdue payment status.
- Invoices generated during the day.
- Purchase entries completed.
- Debit notes / credit notes issued or pending.
- GST / TDS work completed or pending.
- Stock or inventory discrepancies noticed.
- Customer / supplier reconciliation completed.
- Any accounting issue, discrepancy or pending approval.
- Work completed during the day.
- Work pending at the end of the day.
- Reason for any pending work.
- Priority work planned for the next working day.
No important accounting work should remain pending without being mentioned in the Daily End-of-Day Report. Accountability & Ownership
This position requires a person who takes complete ownership and accountability for the assigned work.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that:
- Assigned work is completed within the required timeline.
- Accounting entries are accurate and supported by proper documents.
- GST and TDS compliances are completed correctly and on time.
- Bank reconciliation is updated regularly.
- Customer outstanding is properly monitored.
- Customer and vendor ledgers are properly reconciled.
- Stock received and stock appearing in accounts/software are properly matched.
- Mistakes, discrepancies or missing documents are identified and reported immediately.
- Incorrect or incomplete information is not ignored.
- Pending work is reported clearly instead of being carried forward without explanation.
- Management is informed immediately if any issue can affect accounts, taxation, payments, customer outstanding or statutory compliance.
- Daily reports reflect the actual status of work and should not contain incorrect or misleading information.
The employee will be accountable for the correctness and completion of the work handled by him/her and is expected to verify the work rather than simply enter data into the system.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
- B.Com / M.Com preferred.
- CA Inter candidates with relevant practical experience may also apply.
Experience:
- Minimum 4–8 years of practical accounting experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be strongly preferred.

Most Important Requirement We are looking for a person who takes ownership of the work and reports the actual position to management every day.
The candidate should not merely make accounting entries. He/she must verify whether the entries, balances, invoices, bank transactions, statutory returns and stock records are correct.
The person should be capable of independently identifying:
- What work has been completed.
- What work is pending.
- Why it is pending.
- What discrepancy has been found.
- Who needs to take action.
- What needs to be completed next.
