OPD Billing Executive

Position: OPD Billing Executive

Department: Front Office / Billing

Location: Hospital

Key Responsibilities

Handle OPD billing and registration of patients.

Generate accurate bills for consultations, procedures, investigations, and other hospital services.

Verify patient details, doctor consultation charges, packages, discounts, and payment information.

Collect payments through cash, card, UPI, and other approved modes.

Coordinate with doctors, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and other departments for billing-related queries.

Handle refunds, cancellations, and billing corrections as per hospital policy.

Maintain daily billing records and ensure proper documentation.

Assist patients and attendants with billing-related queries in a polite and professional manner.





Ensure all transactions are accurately entered into the hospital billing software.

Prepare and reconcile daily cash/card/UPI collection reports.

Follow hospital policies regarding billing, cash handling, and patient confidentiality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate in any discipline; healthcare/hospital administration background preferred.

1–3 years of experience in hospital/healthcare billing preferred.

Good knowledge of MS Office and hospital billing software.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Ability to handle patients and work in a quick-paced hospital environment.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
