Mechanical Design Engineer Autodesk Inventor

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor, mechanical design, 3D Modeling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, sheet-metal design, and welded structures. The candidate should have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to develop practical, accurate, and cost-effective designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and optimize 3D parametric models, components, and complex assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing, fabrication, welding, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Apply GD&T;, fits & tolerances, material specifications, surface finishes, welding symbols, and manufacturing notes in drawings.
- Design sheet-metal components, bends, flat patterns, brackets, supports, frames, and welded structures.
- Create and maintain BOMs, Parts Lists, assembly documentation, drawings, revisions, and engineering records.
- Perform interference checking, clearance checks, fitment verification, and assembly validation.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles for machining, fabrication, welding, cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Implement engineering changes based on customer requirements, production feedback, and design improvements, while maintaining revision control.




- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Sales teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Identify opportunities for material optimization, cost reduction, reduced manufacturing complexity, and improved assembly efficiency.

Part Modeling, Assembly Modeling, Constraints, Parametric Modeling, Design Intent, iLogic Basics, Sheet Metal, Frame Generator, Weldments, Content Center, Design Accelerator, Large Assembly Management, Interference Checking, Drawing Creation, BOM & Parts List, Revision Management.

Mechanical Engineering:

GD&T;, Fits & Tolerances, Welding Symbols, Machining Processes, Sheet-Metal Fabrication, Material Selection, Fasteners, Bearings, Shafts, Bolted/Welded Joints, Manufacturing Processes, and DFM.

Candidate Profile

- Solid practical knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and engineering drawing preparation.
- Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and design documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
