About the Role

We're looking for a curious, sharp-thinking QA Engineer at the start of their career to join our Indore office. You don't need years of experience you need a mind that breaks things on purpose, asks "what if?" before anyone else does, and is genuinely excited about how AI is reshaping the way software is tested.

You'll work alongside developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to make sure what we ship actually works not just on the happy path, but in the messy real world our customers live in.

This is an on-site role. We believe early-career engineers grow fastest sitting next to the people they learn from — whiteboarding a test strategy, pairing on a tricky defect, and picking up context that never makes it into a ticket.

What You'll Do

- Understand requirements deeply and translate them into clear, thorough test scenarios and test cases
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and desktop applications
- Find, isolate, and report defects with precise reproduction steps, logs, and evidence
- Think beyond the ticket — identify edge cases, boundary conditions, and negative scenarios that others miss
- Verify fixes and own the quality of your assigned areas through the release cycle
- Write and maintain basic automation scripts under guidance, and grow into owning them
- Use AI tools to accelerate test design, data generation, log analysis, and exploratory coverage
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, share risk findings early, and communicate status clearly

What We're Looking For

Testing Fundamentals

- Solid grasp of SDLC, STLC, and the bug lifecycle
- Knows the difference between test scenarios, test cases, and test data — and can write all three
- Understands functional,



regression, smoke, sanity, integration, UAT, and exploratory testing
- Familiar with test design techniques: equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables

Logical & Dynamic Thinking (this matters most)

- Can reason from a symptom back to a probable root cause instead of just reporting "it doesn't work"
- Thinks in systems — understands that a change in one module can break three others
- Adapts test approach when requirements shift mid-sprint instead of waiting for perfect clarity
- Asks the uncomfortable question in refinement that saves a production incident later

Coding Knowledge

- Working knowledge of at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)
- Comfortable with basic programming constructs: loops, conditions, functions, data structures
- Can read application code well enough to understand what a change actually affects
- Basic SQL — able to write SELECT queries with JOINs to validate data
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and Postman

AI Thought Process

- Actively uses AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in day-to-day work, not just casually
- Understands how to prompt effectively — and, more importantly, how to validate AI output rather than trust it blindly
- Sees AI as a force multiplier for test coverage, not a replacement for thinking
- Curious about AI-assisted test generation, self-healing automation, and intelligent defect triage





Communication

- Writes bug reports that a developer can act on without a single follow-up question
- Explains technical risk in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
- Speaks up in meetings — raises concerns early rather than after the release
- Collaborative and direct, without being defensive about feedback

Attitude

- Genuinely eager to learn — picks up recent tools and domains fast and without hand-holding
- Takes ownership of quality rather than treating QA as a checklist step
- Comfortable with ambiguity and asking for help at the right time

Nice to Have

- Internship or academic project involving test automation
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines)
- Knowledge of API testing and basic performance testing concepts
- Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- A GitHub profile with real projects — even small ones

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
